Those who want to dismiss the new restrictive voting laws as merely partisan – just trying to limit those who will likely vote for the other party – but not racial, must ask themselves these questions: Why does one party think that the majority of Black and brown voters will not be voting for them? Why do the poorest and most oppressed people in the country think that you are against them? It’s time to be honest here.
