I can’t explain any of that

From “Trust the Whisper: How Answering Quiet Callings Inspires Extraordinary Stories of Ordinary Grace“ by Kathy Izard

How did my book that began as a whisper to Write it down make its way to Buffalo? How did Meg’s aunt Mary happen to find it on a windowsill and decide she must send it to her niece? Why did Meg feel that she “strongly and fiercely” received a message from my dad, a man twenty years dead whom she did not know?

I can’t explain any of that. But I know that the message Meg received was exactly what I had long wanted to hear from my dad. Some might say that anyone could have known that those encouraging words would be meaningful. Of course, a daughter who has lost her father wishes he knew what she had done with her life and was proud of her. But of all the people who read my book, no one else has ever told me they received a message from my father for me about my words.
