So, if you need to be reassured, bring your anxieties to the Lord in prayer. If you need a way forward, bring your dead ends to the Lord and ask for a new road to be laid down. If you need fresh joy or new friendship or a supportive community in the midst of your struggle, ask the Lord to surround you with people who can remind you of his presence and his promise. Because it’s not like life will always be easy. And it’s not like Jesus will stop you from being challenged. But no matter what life brings, he will always live up to his character.
Jesus will be good. And he will be faithful. And he will be kind. So, in every season, and in the ordinary mess of life, don’t be afraid to bring your full human experience to the Lord in prayer! He is listening. And his response might surprise you.
