From Womanist scholars I have learned to ask a new set of questions: Whose voice is missing? Who isn’t yet at the table? Who can speak to this from a different set of experiences, from roots unlike my own? Because as long as I perpetuate the domination of only a few voices in Western Christian contemplative work, I hinder movement toward all voices being heard.
